Our drive to go 100% paperless in 2025 by adopting digital technologies which will ensure we’re not contributing to the mountain of paper waste the industry is notorious for.
But our commitment doesn’t stop there. Recycling is at the heart of our operations. We recycle everything from plastic wrap, corrugated material, ink cartridges to electronics, ensuring no resource goes to waste. Our water fountains help reduce plastic waste by replacing traditional bottled water systems. Even items that might have been landfill-bound get a second chance; we collaborate with our customers to repurpose inventory by donating them to charities. Definitely a win/win!
Another key component of our commitment to greener logistics is Getting There With Cleaner Air with our SmartWay Transport Partnership.
More than 3,600 North American companies have signed on to the partnership, which was launched by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). SmartWay has been run in Canada by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) since 2012. SmartWay in Canada also works with NRCan’s SmartDriver and the Green Freight Assessment Program to help carriers save fuel. It provides tools and resources to measure, benchmark, and improve freight transportation efficiency and by participating, we’re not only helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants but also cutting fuel costs—benefiting both the environment and our clients.
